 | The PRM StepDrive unit simply replaces the intermediate housing on the standard 290 drive leg. Installation is not complicated. StepDrive can be self installed (Download Manual) by a competent individual or by a Volvo Penta dealer once the boat has been lifted out. Workshop installation time is approximately one day for a twin installation, plus in water commissioning to set the gear-shift. An electrical control line for the solenoid is fed through the upper transom. The solenoid and control unit are sealed and waterproofed to IP67. StepDrive PRM Marine Transmissions
